Well, this is a first! Barney and I decided to have some fun and not work for once! Well…technically, work was getting done while we did this and actually this kinda is…argh..Ok, we were still working to get this through to you. We’re letting you in our house and wardrobe once a month to show you some of our favourite designers. For our first post we decided to go with Baiastice! One of our favourite shops with styles for every single occasion.
Mornings at the Roundels…uff, as usual he’s already up and working and I’m still laying around in bed trying to think about what to wear. Yes, you’re allowed to giggle, he’s wearing the cute “Luke brocade” briefs in sky blue from Baiastice. And in case you were wondering about me..I’d be the one to your left 😛 lol and I’m wearing Baiastice’s “S-Fresh silk” lingerie in water colour (it comes with white stockings but I can’t sleep in that!). The hair is also from Baiastice, the “Moira”.“Come on we’re LATE!” Barney’s favourite line! As he drags me out of the house to go to work…I’m still grumpy and thinking if I forgot my lipstick while he tries to drive and check his schedule for the day (yes all at the same time). We’re so late there’s only time for a quick goodbye kiss and a “I’ll see you later”.
(this pose that perfectly illustrates us was created especially for this photoshoot by Arisia Ashmoot, CEO of Body Talking poses)
B gets to work and wastes absolutely no time! Changes lenses, gets his camera up on his tripod while his assistants run around with the lighting for this shoot. Phone rings a million times with models and magazines trying to book shoots with him…driving his assistant insane! As always in a great mood and cracking a joke here and there, B still manages to look good in his Baiastice brown “Leather jacket” and “Urban Trousers” also in brown.
Finally I managed to get to Glance to get my paperwork organised. Checking schedule to see how many potential students need to be interviewed today and getting ready to teach my 7, 8 and 9 am classes! UFF that’s a stretch! However, being a part of a reputable academy such as Glance International means that we always have to look sharp, hence the “Cachemire Principe di Galles” dress from Baiastice, paired up with “Claire Decollete special red/black” shoes and the “Donatella” hair, both from Baiastice. (The red purse you see on the first picture is also a Baiastice accessory – Plastik red handbag).
At the end of the day, after all our work is done…wait..there is technically more work to be done! We met at home to change quickly and attend a formal event before we get some rest…Networking, networking, networking! A photographer and model’s job is never done! Yes, we like to play dress up too.

I guess that by the time we can get out of our clothings there is only time for a shower and sleep, until the following morning, where the sequence repeats itself…well…minus the formal event! But I’m certain that something else will pop up.
See you next month!
Lou & B
Well, not only mine but also available at Baiastice for E-VE-RY single one of you fashion addicts out there! This amazing and sleek leathery look was a gift from a dear friend who saw it and thought it had my name written on it lol (thank you xoxo). So…after a couple of drinks at the bar with friends, I thought I’d share it with you!
Showcased for the first time at Modavia Fashion Week, this fabulous piece of black leather and red lace artwork is the “Ivonne”, now available at the Baiastice mainstore (cute and adorable hat included)
Once again, it is the exquisite detailing and the fantastic textures from Baiastice that always get me so pumped up about their new releases! (Check out the zipper on the back)
As usual, resize is available. This, my friends, you have to see for yourselves, I can only say that from all the shows I’ve seen recently I see that our in-world designers are not only keeping up with the latest real life trends, but also going a bit further..all I can say is “the future is NOW” (I hope you get that one).

until next week, toodles!
This past week I’ve been blessed with several offers from several talented designers to whom I’d like to show my appreciation and thank them for their faith in my starter blogger skills. One of those fantastic designers was Tatanka Kaligawa from Mea Culpa, who asked me “can you handle these two outfits?” to which I could only reply “YES! I will do my best to represent you”. So, as soon as I got back to my little cosy Soho flat I unpacked these two gowns and “whoa” just came out of my mouth, quite literally, in real life. I scratched my head and tried to figure out the best way to style them, how could I style these two amazing gowns without taking away the attention from them? So…the best I could come up with was to apply the K.I.S. principle: Keep It Simple (as anyone should consider when showcasing something such as the expression of someone else’s ideas – avantgarde). Now, without further ado, I present to you two of the latest creations from Mea Culpa.
First, the fantastic white and silvery beauty “La Dolce Vita“, which is also available in blue and red. The beautifully tailored and figure flattering gown flows from your waist down to your ankles in a stunningly sculpted mermaid cut in lace. The three quarters length sleeves, also tailored in staggering white lace also have the little flare detailing on the trim, which rests right next to the lace appliques that rest on the hips to enhance your figure without adding any extra pounds, it is sheer lace ladies, your figure is visible right beneath it. Notice how the skirt is layered in a sort of scale(ish) pattern, strategically emphasising the couture mermaid effect to this already beautiful gown. Also notice the little silver tentacle detailing on the bottom, waist and hat, creating a sort of asymmetry which is always so fashion-forward around these areas. The outfit is sold just as it is show on the picture, apart from the nails (which are from Baiastice), the skin (from CStar skins) and the shoes (from LeLutka). Now let’s take a closer look on the upper body, shall we?
Maybe I didn’t pick the best angle for the metal chain applique around the stomach from up close …but can you go “WHOA” also? The upper body hides and reveals just the exact amount of skin you would want to show with the very discrete cuts on each side of the bodice that create the optical illusion of a thinner upper body (thank you Tatanka!). Now take a closer look at the exquisite choice of fabric that was carefully placed under what could be a very deep plunging neckline. Look at the intricacy of that beautifully embroidered fabric and as your eyes trail up (not down), please note the carefully placed lace scales around the neckline that simply drift into the pretty lace bundle sleeves that result in our poofy sleeves, another trend for this season (hey, so says Jean Paul Gaultier, not me lol). The finishing touches to this gown go to the lace hat, matching the gown and to the carefully thought tattoo layer mask which has those long white tentacles, more like cute white kittie whiskers, that come straight out from the top of the mask. If you are looking for elegant, delicate and fabulous, then I’d say “GO BUY IT NOW!”
The second outfit I bring forth is “The Midnight Butterfly“, and please..let me say “OH…MY….GOD”. I was even more shocked when I put this on after trying on the delicate “La Dolce Vita“. But I’ll be the first to admit that I am biased because of its darker and edgier look, something that I usually go for. Again, I chose not to take away from the gown’s beauty and went with as little styling as I could. Did anybody say sexy? Did anybody say lace? And leather? Well, it is a big trend for this season to mix and match leather and lace so, here you have it. I don’t even know where to begin! That’s correct, this gown features laced chaps with perfect inner-thigh leather trimming that go all the way up and around your thighs, making headway into the bodice (which we’ll get to in a second). Around the waist you will find an extremely well crafted embelishment with glamorous black lace draping asymmetrically from left to right (shortest to longest) that flows beautifully as you move. The boots are from Bax Cohen, worn with the laced top, skin is from CStar skins, and the nails are from Baiastice.
I promise there is more detailing to look at, but for now, focus on the bodice if you will. Please do note all the extra details that were added, the metal appliques, the pattern work on the leather that goes from the stomach up to the chest, the lace binding it all together and the beautiful butterfly(ish) wings. In my most humble opinion it was a perfect idea to have long sleeves and a sort of cloak this outfit, they are the key that brings this whole modern dark maiden look together. Ready for more?
More detailing, as I promised. Now you can see how eccentric the pattern on the wings is, how the bodice has this carefully placed lace trimming cupping the breasts along with the metal chains that seem to be holding the whole bodice together as they then wrap around the neck. Here you can also notice how the sleeves are also tailored with the delicate and sumptuous sheer lace, surrounded by the tight, rough and eternally provocative leather. The whole gown comes together when the top is added, this magically bundled lace cloak that envelops your neck and head, but…I absolutely melt at the sight of this super sexy lace veil that falls down to your nose, allowing you to reveal just enough to keep you as mysterious as you wish to be (you can wear hair underneath if you prefer).
Now we have a problem, which one will you choose? The delicate, elegant and enchanting “La Dolce Vita” or the edgy, provocative and alluring “Midnight Butterfly“? I know Mea Culpa makes it hard on you, however the choice is yours, so…why not get both?
Well, I had promised I’d start one of these sometime so why not now? ^^
This is the first time I actually do this so be nice! I dug in my closet and found some pieces that I thought went well together, and actually, I do think they match (either that or I am completely colour blind). Anyway, I decided to give it a go and show you my favourite look for this week, the outfit I wore which I loved the most, and here it is:
Hair from Maitreya: “River” in Jetblack
Headband from LaGyo: “Pure” in Black (yes I know it’s dark but you can still see it)
Jewellery from Miel: “AHI” set
Top from Baiastice: “Cassie” in Black
Belt from Baiastice: from “Cassie”
Pants from Kyoot: Nonsensical Pants – Autumn Leather (The Dressing Room Exclusive, means that you can’t get them in that colour now, please try the mainstore)
Shoes from Maitreya: “Verve Pumps” in Brown
After spending some time attending incredible fashion shows at Modavia Fashion Week, tomorrow (September 16th) is one of the days I have been waiting for. There are still quite a few hours until the show but we can already purchase some new items from Baiastice from the vendors outside, even if it’s not full yet, collection will be out hopefully tomorrow after the show (and I can’t wait to see what Sissy has in store for us). Nobody does casual chic like Baiastice, that’s given a fact. You see, I like various designers, and you will often see me wearing their creations at several occasions, but as you will also be able to tell, according to the occasion, I have my favourites for each. This is plain couture fabulousness, and even if I am mentioning casual chic here, the visitors and Baiastice shoppers do know that there are many sides to the shop: the shoes, the hair, the skins, the lingerie, the haute couture, the gowns, the accessories…and endless variety of items that are just perfect to boost your inventory numbers with exquisite designs.
I did mention that I was going to go through old and new, correct? Well, even though it is not THAT old, here are some of the things I found in my inventory, things I have worn several times which I simply love.
This beautiful outfit is called “Anna Lou” in purple (it is available in other colours, please check it out). And if it wasn’t already enough to have other colour options, the “Anna Lou” has another top option, with the ruffles around the shoulders also very pretty and girly, but for this particular styling I chose the plain top so that you can see the how well the fabric wraps around the chest area and how detailed it is, please notice the realistic wrinkles on the stomach. The balloon pant bottom is just as delicate as the top as it flows into one full outfit with a very harem vibe, perfect for your summer holidays. The belt is also a part of the outfit, hugging your hips, complimenting the full ensemble just perfectly. There is a trick to this outfit, it has a built-in AO option so it goes to show you how much they care about the clients, making sure that you’re never caught off-guard, or in this case “noobish”.
(shoes from LeLutka; necklace from Miel and hair from Maitreya).
Please excuse my lack of photoshop skills, but I do hope you got this “fading Cinderella” look I tried to get going (be nice lol). This beautiful gown is the “Beaded Organza red“, another Baiastice creation that deserves to be shown around due to the “I belong in a painting” vibe it carries. The beautiful neckline is absolutely elegant and well deserving of a beautiful necklace but the skirt and the detailing on this texture are what drew me to the dress instantly. When I saw it I just thought “modern meets Louis XIII kind of faded pattern…I’m getting this, I have to have it!”. The gloves are also included with your purchase. If there is something that we should always look out for when purchasing a gown/outfit/whatever it is…that thing is the texture quality, and having said that I reckon that Baiastice simply blows us all away with the exquisite choice of textures they always provide us with.
(hair also from Baiastice “Boop” in brown; jewellery from Gems&Kisses).
Now we get to the crème de la crème: The “Cassie“, freshly purchased at Modavia! A sneak peak of what is to come next! I couldn’t resist, it’s so me I just had to get it! And yes, if you’ve seen me recently then you’ve already seen me walking around flaunting it! You can style it with other pieces too, as the skirt and belt are separate. See what I meant about textures? Just take a closer look at the top, doesn’t it look like absolutely lush leather/skin of some sort? Look at the carefully added ruffle detail to the bottom of this gorgeous top! Now look at the bottom with its multitude of endless layers of cute ruffles all bundled up in this one cute short short skirt! Now if this isn’t figure flattering then I don’t know what is! Please pay attention to the detailing on this belt! This outfit is worth so much more than what I paid for it (if I remember correctly it was 360 lindens). I am sorry if I sound too excited but I just can’t wait to attend the show and go crazy shopping right after the vendors are out!
(boots from Maitreya; hair from fri.day; jewellery from Miel)
If you see me around and like what I am wearing please don’t be shy, ask me where I got it 🙂 or just inspect if you are too shy to ask! (I take it as a compliment^^)
See you at the Baiastice show tomorrow! (click here for an LM to the show😉 )
We always think one release is enough but Monica Outlander likes to believe not! Everytime Miamai releases things they come in pairs! So, last time it was the “Carol” minidress, now comes another superb gown: “Evelyn“. Monica describes it as, quote “A special, elegant and haute couture gown made of soft flowing material, with a dreamy bodice partially made of embroidered silk.”. Well…let’s have a look, shall we?^^
Here, I give to you “Evelyn” in both blue and rose. I can’t stress this enough but Monica’s designs always have such high quality textures, so much attention to detail that it’s insane! Have a closer look at the carefully elaborate patterns that flow all around this stunning gown, trail up your body and wrap around your torso. However, Monica didn’t stop there, she decided to add yet another Miamai trademark, the wonderfully achieved leg-flashing-through-silk slit.Notice how it carefully wraps around the back, enhancing the sexiest part in the female body (in my opinion), the back. This is one of my favourite things about Miamai gowns, the back always has some sort of delicate, yet uber sexy finishing touches to it, whether it is super low cut or just mid way, it’s always perfectly executed and did I forget to mention sexy?
In this picture you can take a peek at the “Evelyn” in green and in red. The delicate imprint over the silk bodice with a slight colour overlay for pattern enhancing is absolutely refined and adds a lot to the gown itself, drawing attention to the neckline and to the back. Now I know you will have difficulty picking just one colour and you will wish Monica had made a fatpack, drop a suggestion notecard on Mavi Beck if you think there should be a fatpack or drop by Miamai for a visit! Until then…good luck choosing!
